Lakeshore Legal Aid - Project Manager - Southfield, MI

Organization Overview:

Lakeshore Legal Aid serves low-income people, seniors, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in a holistic manner to address clients’ legal issues and improve our communities. Lakeshore provides free direct legal representation in southeast Michigan and the thumb and client intake, advice, and brief legal services throughout Michigan via our attorney-staffed hotline. Our practice areas include housing, family, consumer, elder, education, and public benefits law.

Position Overview:

The Justice Server Project Manager is responsible for planning and implementing Justice Server projects, including coordinating business processes, and supporting staff. This may include support through the IT ticket system and larger Salesforce development projects. The Project Manager will create training videos, training materials, and other support materials. The position is expected to last one year and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

General Task Areas:

  • Coordinate with IT staff and respond to Justice Server tickets as submitted in the IT ticketing system.
  • Support the IT Department’s learning and transition to Justice Server administrative support.
  • Swiftly make simple programming adjustments.
  • Lead any Justice Server meetings including any training needed at meetings.
  • Manage projects to add additional functionality and features which may include leading TIG projects.
  • Participate in statewide meetings and planning around Justice Server.
  • Partner with other staff to create dashboards.
  • Complete and maintain changes to a Justice Server manual and other supporting documents.
  • Create training videos, documents, and other materials.
  • Update staff timely about Justice Server changes and issues.
  • Conduct Justice Server orientation with new hires.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the COO, CEO, or a CEO designee.

Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited four-year institution or Juris Doctor preferred.
  • Experience working in a legal aid organization or law firm preferred.
  • Experience with Justice Server/Salesforce preferred.
  • Legal aid experience preferred.
  • Willing to obtain additional Salesforce training related to Justice Server.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Excellent people skills including managing through change.
  • Clear and effective communication and training skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Salary

Starting salary for a Justice Server Project Manager ranges from $55,500. Starting salary for a Project Manager with a Juris Doctor degree ranges from $70,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and includes excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance/AD&D, short-term and long- term disability, retirement plan, and paid time off.
