Michigan Indian Legal Services (MILS) is seeking proposals from qualified video production companies to create a 10 - to 20-minute educational video. This important project aims to raise awareness and provide essential legal information concerning LGBTQ+ rights and Native American community protections. We are dedicated to delivering a sensitive, respectful, and impactful message, particularly in these communities' current challenges.
2. Project Scope
- Project Name: LGBTQ+ “KNOW YOUR RIGHTS” Video Project
- Video Requirements: One video, 10-20 minutes in length.
This video will delve into the profound challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ and Native American communities, emphasizing the urgent need for awareness and legal protection. The content will feature:
Interviews
with Victims and Families: Personal stories that shed light on the devastating impact of discrimination and violence. These narratives will provide a human face to the legal struggles and rights issues, ensuring the stories resonate on both emotional and intellectual levels.
Interview Locations: For an upcoming interview with an important interviewee, it must be conducted via Zoom or a similar application. To ensure the best quality, the interview must be recorded at the highest capacity possible.
Production Timeline: Filming to take place in March 2025, with a final product ready for an April release.
3. Vendor Requirements
- Proven experience in high-quality video production, especially in sensitive and documentary-style formats.
- Ability to manage the project from conception to final delivery, including pre-production, production, and post-production phases.
- Experience in conducting interviews and working with vulnerable populations, with a respectful and empathetic approach.
4. Budget
- The budget for this project is $10,000 to $15,000. This budget must cover all expenses related to the production of the video.
