CORT Webinar - Public Charge and the Chilling Effect

Description

For the last four years, the Protecting Immigrant Families (PIF) Michigan Campaign with support from the National Immigration Law Center and diverse allies across state and nation have fought back against Trump-era revision of the public charge rule - a cruel policy that created a "wealth test" which threatened the health, nutrition, and housing of millions of families.

Join the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center Staff Attorneys - Tania Morris Diaz and Marie Nelson in learning more on how you can advocate in communicating with immigrants and their families that the policy has been reversed and how to combat the chilling effect in assuring immigrants that it is safe to access health and nutrition programs and to receive benefits for which they are eligible without fear of immigration consequences.
